Usually, online influencers become the target of copycat social media profiles. In such cases, other users take images from other users and post them as their own. Another common issue for YouTube is copyright infringement. In such cases, people use other users’ content without their consent.

Before proceeding further, you must know that Thothub is an adult website that hosted paywalled content from different platforms like OnlyFans for free. Presently Thothub.com has gone dark following a lawsuit filed earlier by a popular OnlyFans model. On August 3, OnlyFans content creator Deniece ‘Niece’ Waidhofer filed a case against Thothub.tv for posting her images without her consent.

The model has 1.9 million followers on Instagram and she sells semi-nudes to followers on her OnlyFans account for $14.99 monthly. The filed lawsuit demands that Thothub must stop infringing on Waidhofer’s copyright and pay damages. Also, the lawsuit claims that the content was supposed to be available to the paid subscribers only through the Licenced Sites. Thothub’s main purpose was to steal those exclusive content from the Licensed Sites and distribute them to millions of associates unlawfully. After that the site went down and the server appears to no longer exist.

Waidhofer wrote on Instagram that she is standing up to the pirates and their enablers on behalf of all the creators whose work they have stolen and whose bodies they exploited. They won’t take it anymore.

As part of the lawsuit, Niece is also suing adult platforms BangBros and Chaturbate for advertising on Thothub and internet infrastructure service Cloudflare for protecting the site. As per the lawsuit, thethothub and other companies are in violation of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act as they have engaged in international and willful conduct in the service of the criminal enterprise.

Niece Waidhofer’s Lawsuit Explained

According to Vice, model Niece Waidhofer is suing a case against Thot Hub for illegally sharing her images without consent. The publication reported that Niece also has gone after Chaturbate and BangBros for allegedly advertising on Thothub.

Waidhofer’s attorney Brett S. Rosenthal stated that after being uploaded on Thothub and downloaded by many of its one-million-plus members, Waidhofer’s published and unpublished works have been spread across the Internet and seen by millions now. The attorney also added that this incident has caused personal, reputational, and monetary harm to Waidhofer.

Thothub is Apparently Down

On August 5 Thothub’s website was replaced by a picture of the solar system and an email address after going offline. Still, the lawyer of Niece claimed that Thothub is still working to hold the business accountable. The attorney also stated that for the loss they caused, Thothub’s members and businesses that supported its piracy will be held responsible as well. Now the cases of online copyright lawlessness needs to come to an end.

Twitter users have stated that Thothub is no longer available and it appears that the site has been taken down. However, it is not clear yet whether the site’s removal has anything to do with it. One user also tweeted; “RIP Thothub, you’ll be greatly missed! Many hours of content has been consumed on that wonderful website!”.
