1. Sending videos on Discord through your PC
You can send videos without any difficulty on Discord as long as the file size is not too big. All you have to do is follow these steps, which will work on any PC you have, be it Windows or Apple.

Go to the server lists or your inbox to select the group or person you wish to send the videos to.
Step 2
Now, in the chatbox, click on the plus (+) icon.
Step 3
Click on the Upload a File option.
Step 4
Finally, select the video from your computer that you want to share, and then click on Open.
Step 5
You can also type in a comment along with the video. After that, click on upload.
Your video will now be successfully sent.

Discord does not play all kinds of file formats; however, the good news is that the people or person you sent it to can still download the file and view it on their phone, laptop, computer, or any other device.

2. How to send videos on Discord through your phone
Most users access Discord through their phones, as it is seemingly quicker. The process for
Android and iPhones are almost the same, except for some minor differences. Here’s how you can send videos on Discord through your phone, Android, and iPhone edition:
Step 1
Open the person or channel where you wish to share the video.
Step 2
On the left of the chatbox, you will find the option for file selector, which will appear as a small paper-shaped icon.
Step 3
You can also select the image option and then select the video from your gallery; however, the video might not always appear with this option.

Continue using the file method and once you click on it, your gallery will open

from where you can now choose the file you wish to share, keeping in mind that it is less than 8MB.
Something to keep in mind: While performing this process, Discord may ask for “permission” before you send the video or photo. Please click Give Access once the pop-up appears to successfully send your video.
3. How to send videos on Discord that are larger than 8MB.
Finally, once you have learned how to send basic videos and photos, we now move on to sending files that are above 8MB.
Upgrading to Discord Nitro
With a Discord Nitro upgrade of $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year, you can upload videos as large as 100MB. While it is very convenient, it might not be the cheapest option, so we move on to the next method.
- Using Filmora Video Editor to remove unwanted clips and compress the video files to make them less than 8MB. You can do this by using the instant cutter tool, which enables you to break your video into shorter parts and then share them one at a time. This is a quick and easy way, and the steps for this are:
Open Filmora> select “import”> ”import with instant cutter tool <open file < add video and then successfully cut and share.

The last method is to use other media players like YouTube and Vimeo, which are inexpensive as they are free and also give an allowance of 128MB. The YouTube or Vimeo link can then be shared on Discord. Secondly, since videos from YouTube cannot be saved on a device, another good method would be sharing them to Dropbox or Google Drive, from where the files can be downloaded.
