What is SteamEast?
SteamEast is the most popular streaming platform on Earth, used by billions of users every day to enjoy their favorite movies and TV shows. SteamEast works with all devices, including PCs/Macs, smartphones, tablets, TVs (connected via HDMI), game consoles (such as Xbox One or PlayStation 4), VR headsets, and more!
New content arrives on SteamEast every single day. You can access new releases immediately after they become available on traditional streaming platforms like Netflix or Hulu. If you prefer older movies and TV shows, SteamEast has a huge catalogue that’s constantly being updated with fresh titles that you won’t find anywhere else – there’s something for everyone!
No matter how fast your Internet connection is, you can enjoy high-quality video on SteamEast. Thanks to new compression technologies, it’s now possible to deliver 4K HDR video at up to 60 fps. New SteamEast users are eligible for a free upgrade to premium quality once they have kept their account active for 90 days.

How much does SteamEast cost?
If you purchase your device directly from the SteamEast website, you will pay the full retail price upfront. Devices purchased through other retailers may require an activation fee after 12 months of use.
After 24 months of continuous use, the retail price of your device is rebated back in full (excluding taxes). If your account remains inactive (i.e., no streaming) for more than 365 consecutive days, you will be charged an inactivity fee of $5.00.
Where does SteamEast work?
You need to log in with your SteamEast account to use the service on any device. Once logged in, SteamEast automatically detects which of your devices is best suited for streaming (e.g., if you’re running it on a laptop or desktop PC, you can expect good performance with HD video; however, 4K video playback may not be supported depending on your hardware).
If you own multiple devices and want to stream from more than one at the same time (for example, watching a movie on your TV while someone else watches something different on their tablet), we recommend using a multi-home network.
This enables you to create separate streaming subnets within your home network. This ensures better performance for all users, especially if they are accessing the service from multiple devices simultaneously (e.g., someone else is watching a movie on another TV in the same house).
A multi-home network uses certain ports that some ISPs block by default; if this is the case, you will need to contact your ISP and ask them to unblock these ports.
How does SteamEast work?
Streaming platforms like SteamEast use adaptive streaming technologies that automatically adjust video quality according to changing network conditions. When a device detects a poor Internet connection, it pauses video playback and waits until the connection has improved before resuming playback at a lower bit rate.
If the connection drops again, the video quality will be reduced even further, and so forth. The key thing to understand here is that you don’t need the world’s best Internet connection for SteamEast to work well; if you can stream Netflix or YouTube without any issues, then SteamEast will also work just fine on your network.
Is there a limit to how many devices I can stream from at the same time?
There is currently no such restriction; however, we recently introduced an inactivity fee (see here ) that charges $5 after 12 months of continuous streaming (i.e., no active client connection).
Is it possible to install Kodi through SteamEast?
Yes! As of version 1.5+, all customers have access to tutorials explaining how to install their favorite custom apps via SteamEast. You can find the list of currently supported apps here.
Is it possible to stream video games with SteamEast?
No, at this time we only support streaming movies and TV shows. For more information about when (if ever) this will change, please check our FAQs or contact us for additional details. If you would like to participate in testing future updates, please drop by our Discord server.

FAQs
Is SteamEast legal?
Yes! Although it may seem otherwise, streaming copyrighted content for personal use isn’t actually illegal in most countries (since there are currently no laws in place prohibiting this type of activity).
Just like with torrenting, all content streamed through a third-party platform is immediately encrypted and cannot be traced back to you by copyright holders. In addition to that, SteamEast doesn’t host any of the content itself – it only serves as a middleman between you and the video streaming services.
Is SteamEast safe to use?
We also regularly update our software to ensure optimal security. Thanks to our custom-built user interface, all apps are automatically updated whenever there is a new version available. You can find more details about how we protect customer privacy here.
